This 1973 Volvo 1800ES has had 2 other owners, the second owner (for 40+ years) being a licensed Volvo mechanic.
The motor and suspension have been modified with authentic Volvo racing parts, she runs and drives wonderfully. The custom sunroof is a great addition. This is a very special car and it gets a lot of attention. The style lines are something that you do not see, Italian designed from a different era. There are minor paint chips here and there that I have detailed in the photos in the link below. The undercarriage was coated/sealed in the late 70’s and the car has surprisingly few rust issues.
It also has a electric rust inhibitor that sends a pulse through the body to prevent rust (and it works). Tires have less than 1k kilometers, brake lines recently replaced, brakes in good condition. Parts are actually easy to come by from ipdusa.com – they have everything. This car runs strong, compression has been checked. There is too much to say about this car, it has been a joy to own but I am ready to pass it on.
