Boulder Colorado garage find restoration began in 9/2006.
It was rust free except for one small area under the rear license plate area. It was trailered to get it road ready and the restoration began. All original running gear and injection the car has been gone thru with no initial intention for resale. The body was completely stripped and media blasted prior to a top notch 2 stage paint my Tony Martens in the original color only after welding/lead of the side marker and trim penetrations.
The interior has been improved with Audi TT seats and belts as well as the side cards to match the darker blue leather. New carpet set installed after Dynamat sound deadening placed. reassembly done with care and mostly new SS screws. Many new parts from Don Thibault including a 4spd OD and the other components when the original Auto trans failed. That install and other work done at Baker garage. Most other new parts came from CVI Automotive in Sweden. All the useful removed parts, carpet, seats, AC unit and bumpers are included. The wheels are powder coated and wear period rubber. Many photos of the process and receipts available. This car speaks for itself and gathers plenty of attention. I need no help in selling this car.
