You are bidding on a 1966 Volvo P1800 Coupe. I am trying to thin out my projects and focus in on a few.
This is a bit of a rough looker but the engine runs great and doesn’t smoke or knock, there are a couple leaks, one from the drain bolt on the oil pan. I was told the engine was rebuilt several years ago but I have no documentation of that. The interior is rough and it is missing the rear seat back. The body has a poor weld patch done in the front clip that will need repair and there are a lot of other body issues that were poorly patched, I assume to prevent rust. Overall the body is fairly solid. There isn’t any rot, floor pans are solid, undercarriage is solid.
I was told by the previous owner the overdrive was removed but it does shift good no grinding. Tires are shot, they will hold air for a day but this can’t be driven more than on a trailer and off again. This could make a great donor car or with the right amount of work be brought back to life. I am open to offers but I also will not give this car away, I can always finish the project later. I have a clean title in hand.
